Cosmetic dentistry is usually referred to any oral or dental work which improves the appearance of gums, teeth, and/or bite. The primary focus is on the improvement dental aesthetics in position, size, shape, alignment, color, and overall appearance.

The common procedures usually used are simple but the others are very complex and require specialized care.
Inlays and Onlays
Also referred to as indirect fillings and these are made by the dental laboratory and used when a tooth has mild to moderate decay. It is also used when there is no enough structure to support the filling. The inlay is placed directly onto the surface of the tooth with adhesive. When the greater portion of the tooth is infected or damaged, Onlays are used to cover the surface of the tooth.
Inlays and Onlays are made in a dental lab using composite resin material and fixed to the teeth with a special dental cement. They provide support to restore the shape of the teeth, strengthen them, and avoid any kind of further decay or deterioration.
Composite bonding
Composite bonding refers to the repair of damaged, discolored or decayed teeth using material which resembles the color of tooth enamel. The composite is applied onto the surface of the tooth after removing the tooth decay by your dentist. Then it is sculpted into the required shape before curing it with a high-intensity light beam. This is one of the least expensive cosmetic dentistry procedures available for the patients with cracked or chipped teeth, tooth decay and worn down edges.
Dental veneers
Veneers are made from medical-grade ceramic and resemble one’s natural teeth. They can resolve numerous cosmetic problems and look exceptionally realistic. Using a dental adhesive, the dentist will apply the veneers to the front of each tooth.
Implants
The implants are used to replace the natural teeth after teeth loss. A small titanium screw is inserted into the jaw by the dentist at the site of the missing tooth and serves as a support to the crown.
Teeth whitening
It is one of the most basic cosmetic dentistry procedures, teeth bleaching or teeth whitening can be performed at the dentist’s clinic. The whitening must occur after cleaning tartar, plaque, and debris from the surface of the tooth. This would restore the natural appearance. Bleaching can also be done to the teeth in order to get a lighter shade than this original color.
